Orphans and Vulnerable Children (including special needs)

Shamida provides housing for orphans and vulnerable children. Many children are abandoned due to poverty or become orphaned due to the sickness of the parents. When this happens, the children will be brought to Shamida. We provide food, shelter, clothing, care and medical care (if and when required). All this costs however, we believe that these babies/children deserve to be loved and cared for free from any harm or worries. The number of babies/children is indeterminate as Shamida simply helps when it is needed. These babies/children are from all walks of life some as young as a few days old, some 15 years, some with special needs and some without. However, the older children with special needs require more care and therapies on an ongoing basis.
