About Karen
Karen Kendall, manages the day to day running of Shamida Ethiopia being based permanently in Ethiopia with her two daughters, Ruby and Daisy.
In over ten years, she’s personally watched as Shamida has grown from a small orphanage with only six children to today where we have more than 400 children in our care across four sites. Karen’s vision and fighting spirit are at the core of Shamida as she champions best care practices for the most vulnerable women and children in Ethiopia.
